Personal Project

When I'm busy during the summer and fall photographing high school seniors, and families, I rarely photograph my kids. Sad, right? I decided it was time to pick up my camera to photograph my children doing their every day things like playing with legos, enjoying the snow, and just being in the moment.

I photographed my kids indoors for the most part because, well, it was winter in New England and we all know how cold it can get here. PLUS, my goodness, is indoor lighting cool! Side light that streams in through windows first thing in the morning, sunset light that glows, and even rooms flooded with light make for beautiful documentary style images. Photographing my kids inside is nothing new to me, I've been doing so since they were newborns, but this time around, I decided my personal project for the winter would be photographing them on a daily basis. So happy that I did, and will continue to do so because I know they'll love looking back at these images---some day :) Here's a few for you!
